Hey everybody, I know this question may have been asked 1000 times already but I have been On a wild hunt for the right headphones and I was hoping someone could help me out here.

I am looking for some over-ear, closed back headphones that I can use to Game and listen to music. Unfortunately, I am one of those people who appreciates a good bit of Bass but I would be willing to give it up for an overall warm sound. I listen to music with a lot of heavy bass and I also absolutely love when I am listening to music with a guitar in it and I can hear the bass in the guitar well. Warm music makes me smile.
Next year I will have a roommate so I don't want to disturb them as I know how annoying it can be to hear other peoples music while working.

I have had some terrible experiences with tin sounding headphones that lack any and or all bass, the Artemis Spectrums by Logitech being a prime example. Hence, I have been terrified to reach out of my comfort zone and have stuck to the same $40 pair for years. Unfortunately, the company who makes them went out of business, so that's out of the picture.

Overall, My budget is $200 but I would like to stay around $150 or lower. I know I am asking a lot but I would like to hear from some people who own the headphones I've been considering.

I plan on attaching a modmic to them if I can't get a headset.

Thank you! :)

DT 770. 32 ohm can be driven by a phone. The 80 ohm good motherboard audio and the 250 ohm needs an amp. You want 80 ohm for the best bass. 250 ohm for the best overall sound but you will need an amp.

ATH M50X. Easily driven. People either love them or hate them but they have bass.

People that don't like the M50X generally do like the M40X.

I've not heard them but they're pretty good from everything I've seen. Probably the best choice with your budget. They're actually pretty common to see on musicians in the studio.

An alternative would be the Sony MDR 1A but you'd have to catch them on sale. They've been in the $150 range a few times recently but they're usually $300.
