I have my nephews hp, the ribbon and connector are broke i took the screen off the laptop. Now i can get to the comp to display on my monitor but i can not when trying tk get into boot mode. As my nephew forhot his password to open windows. I am trying to hard reset. How can i do this please.

You need to Remove the Ribbon cable connector from the motherboard to display you boot and start-up in external monitor
