So suddenly my dell vostro 3500 (i3) suddenly had this problem where it shuts down suddenly 1ish minutes after starting up. Prior to it breaking I had changed nothing around and it was working fine.

I removed the Hdd and the problem still continues, meaning its nothing with windows, and I've cracked it open and cleaned the heat-sink, reapplied thermal paste, bought a new battery, tried it without the battery, and removed the power button in a attempt to fix it, all to no avail.

If anyone has any other ideas on how to fix it, I would gladly appreciate the help.

The problem with this sort of thing is the PSU will shut down like that if it detects any problem, or if it has a problem itself. The first thing to do is inspect the MB for swollen or leaking capacitors. Bulging tops, or staining in the grooves there indicates failure. Then I would swap out the PSU to see if that resolves it. If the PSU can't provide proper power it will shut itself off to protect the computer. If something on the computer is drawing too much power it does the same thing.

As Far as I can tell, the physical condition of the MB looks to be fine, so Ill likely have to try a new PSU as you suggested.
Thanks for the help!

I can't find anything temperature related in the BIOS, and yes, the laptop will still shut off while in the BIOS.
