i have an acer es1-433-38dr laptop...like what i have read in a thread, my problem is similar to them. if i plug in my charger it will cahrge for 10 seconds then stop.

i haven't tried using another charger because you have mentioned that it is the charger which has the problem. can i still use my laptop with the power cord continually connected without damaging the bateery since it is no longer charging? thanks for your help...looking forward to your answer...by the way, should i buy a new charger already or is there a way to have my charger fixed? thanks again

Solution
I dobt using the mains lead could make your battery give up and die but if it's an external battery, simply remove it and use mains electricity. You can find a new charger in e-Bay but don't go for the cheapest. Expect to pay good money foor a quality unit.

Some clones which come out of China have been known to cause fires so give it a miss if the price looks too good to be true.
