The Quadro GPUs offer certified drivers, which are optimized for stability and performance in professional applications (CAD, DCC, medical, prospection, and visualizing applications). The performance in these areas is therefore much better compared to corresponding consumer GPUs. Rendering is where it really out performs The GtX. Top work stations will keep you poor until you work for a company that pays you big bucks for great work. In conclusion if your an amateur go with a consumer grade laptop. If your a Professional and connect with others in an office environment and model render like crazy your going to need a workstation. I cant recommend either model you posted as only you know what you really need.
