All browsers crash. And now today it isn't just my browsers crashing, it's also my sound is very distorted, it looks like my driver might be missing something pops up keep telling me that I don't have a graphics card and if I go into device manager and go to the driver for sound and search for an update end it always tells me that I have the latest driver for the sound. But it's kind of strange because I will go into device manager later to look at my drivers again and there is no choice to update the driver or look for a driver because it's grayed out when it wasn't earlier. For the last two maybe three years I have gone to the HP website to look for an update for any of my drivers for my HP laptop and. There are a few updates that it says I need but when I try to update them and I download everything, they either never actually download to my laptop because they're nowhere to be found or they won't update and download at all. And I don't know what the problem is. My laptop is only 1 year old.

Sure thing.

You know, sometimes the problem can be traced to the local user profile and not just Windows itself. You can test this by creating another local account, then log into it to see if that clears up the issue. If it does, then you know your local profile has become corrupted. In that instance, you can simply log back into the new profile (also delegated administrative access) and purge the bad one.

If another profile exhibits the same symptoms, then yes, most likely something hosed in Windows some place. So if you decide to wipe and reload Windows, be sure to do a full reset. Of course, be sure to back up your personal data first that you value.

What version of Windows are you running? Also, try the Brave browser (based off Chromium) and see if there's a difference there.

Oh, and be sure the system time is up to date on the laptop. If it's advanced or behind by five minutes, that can throw off encryption such as establishing a secure connection back to Microsoft to check for driver updates.

Windows 10 Home
What is and where do I find Brave browser? If it does work for me that would be great, I would still like to at some point and time be able to fix Google Chrome and Microsoft edge.
I'm using my phone right now because as soon as click on Google Chrome it comes up then within three minutes it's already frozen there's no using Google Chrome at all, so I used task manager to kill it.

My laptop isn't even a year old. And I'm pretty computer savvy so I keep it clean. This is the only website that I've actually posted on about this but I've gone through several sites reading several posts about this very issue. Out of how many I read there were only a few that had a fix for theirs. I've tried a lot of recommendations from the posts I've read so far. Oh yes and I did just have my laptop serviced for a cracked screen. I used it for 2 months and couldn't use it again for 5 months because of the cracked screen and finally got it fixed 3 months ago.
So I'm thinking I'm just going to put windows back on it wipe it out put it back on I've done that a couple times years ago with another one of my laptops that was older. That's like my last resort really. But I'll wait another week before i do that.
Thank you for answering my post so fast
