Recently I received a blue screen that promptly shut down my laptop. After restarting it, the laptop's screen would simply not turn on (no backlight or anything) after the ASUS startup logo finishes its process. It's not a matter with the internal video cord because the ASUS logo still displays itself during bootup .I've tried turning the laptop off and on, resetting windows, went into troubleshooting mode by pressing escape before powering on and tried system restore, reset system ,auto repair, etc (pretty much all the trouble shooting options available minus command prompt) which all failed. But when I connect my laptop to another monitor through hdmi , it works perfectly fine and displays only on the external monitor. This method works after putting the computer to sleep first by tapping the power button then taking it out of sleep.
//System restore outputted a message saying that it couldn't finish the process, system reset seemed to have worked though, auto repair said it couldn't fix the problem.
The integrated graphics still works , hard drive seems to be fine since I'm able to type this through the external monitor, nvidia graphics card is still working as well
Any help would highly be appreciated!
