I have a Toshiba satellite c50 laptop. Last year suddenly volume up function key (f10) went not working. Then day by day more keys went not working. And the touchpad was not working too. Everytime I turned the laptop on touchpad wasn't working, but when I press the Fn key it started to work. So I replaced the old keyboard with a new one. Then all went well again until last week. It started again. Volume up key is not working and the touchpad was not working properly too. So I had the keyboard replaced again but this time it didn't work well much longer. Yesterday volume up key wasn't working and today number 6 is not working too. What is wrong with my laptop. What should I do. I would be very glad if someone could help me

It sounds like it isn't the laptop itself, especially if they work for a while after replacing. I would consider that perhaps those keys are ones you use often (perhaps in games or other intense use things) which can cause the keys to give out more quickly. And if the part you replaced it with is aftermarket rather than OEM that could mean the part isn't as strong as it could be.

You may want to try using an external keyboard (and mouse) for a while and see if it happens to that as well. If it does, then I would say it is use of the keyboard.

Thank you for the reply. I don't use those keys much more than the others. I can use a separate keyboard and a mouse. But the problem is when the first time this problem occurred I used a separate keyboard and a mouse. Then after few weeks when I turned on the laptop it went straight to bios. That is why I had no option but to replace the keyboard and when I did that it worked again. I could use that keyboard for 6 months. But after the second replacement I could only use it for 1 day and during that one day I didn't used the laptop for much longer. Could it be a problem regarding the processor because the same thing happens again and again

One of my cousins also told me that it could be an issue with the motherboard. Thanks for your help. If you have any other solutions please tell me.
