I posted this on Sony Community forums, but thought I might get a better result here.

BluRay will not play through the amp to TV on HDMI after I upgraded to a newer TV. I suspect a handshake issue, or just an older equipment (AMP) issue.

Original setup:
STR-DA3200ES / BDP-S5500 / KDS-R60XBR2
New:
STR-DA3200ES / BDP-S5500 / KDL-52XBR4

-Everything worked through HDMI from BD to Amp to TV previously. I literally only unplugged the HDMI from old TV and plugged into the new TV
-BD direct to TV works fine.
-Tried different power on sequences, but didn't seem to find any that worked.
-Haven't found any settings on the new TV that may affect.

Help!
and Thanks!

I doubt it's an HDCP issue since both TVs are compliant. Handshake problem is more likely.
They are both 1080p so it wouldn't be a issue with the BD player trying to output 4k to the new TV and the receiver not handling it.
Try different HDMI cables.
Try a different HDMI input on the TV.
Try connecting the BD player directly to the TV. That will tell you if the receiver is the issue.
Make sure that the BD player is set to 1080p. You may need to connect it to a different TV.

The Amp and BD should be compatible, as they were working together with the old TV.

I'd have to do more research on the actual HDCP version... There is no documentation in the specifications.
