Okay, i know this may sound weird, but im looking for a pair of earphones (not a headset) with little to no bass. The reason being, i plan to use these only for gaming, and being an fps fan, i like being able to hear footsteps clearly and a lot of bass makes that difficult foe me to do that. Plus bass just doesnt sound that good to me overall. I dont really wanna go over 30, but i could a little if its worth it. I'd prefer something with the option to mute the built in mic, or maybe even
A second one of similar quality without a mic if that would be a cheaper solution. Any help would be well appreciated!

Sennheiser hd 201.

I have a set of these myself, I've had them for about 3 years. Tried about 3 different gaming headsets thinking about changing. But the headsets just don't seem to have the sound quality, or are too bassy.

Do some looking, that's about 50, seems like I paid about 20 when I got mine. Check out the hd 206 as well, I think those are the replacement model for the 201, and they are 10 bucks cheaper.

I haven't tried these, but for the price they are tempting and the reviews seem good as well...

But I do know the Sennheiser hd 201 are some of the best headphones I've heard of you want something accurate sounding and not to much bass. More of a flat eq imo so your sound is more real. I think the 201s are entry level studio headphones.

My dad did sound in church for over 30 years and did a lot of reading and said Sennheiser is good stuff. The one thing I'd say on the 201 is they can be a little quiet. Someone on another forum showed me this program, and it works. I just basically use it to turn up the gain on my headphones to get a little now volume.

Since I do play in a clan sometimes, I ordered a clip on type mic so I can talk if I want.
