Dual channel RAM or SSD

Solution
4GB is far too low for decent gaming, get that to 8GB at a minimum, preferably using an identical DIMM so you can do dual-channel for an extra 10-30% in 1% lows over 8GB single-channel.

A discrete GPU like a GT1030 would be of huge help too.

a SSD won't improve your FPS. if your RAM is below 8gb, then adding RAM may help your game performance. the dual channel won't make too much of a difference as long as you have at least 8gb. however, an SSD will make your overall performance of your computer shockingly fast and you will not ever regret obtaining an SSD if you do not have one now.
