I have a Ge62vr, when I play AAA games in Sports Mode my GPU temp reaches 90c-93c but my CPU is only 55-60c. both GPU and CPU are undervolted. Cooler booster on fan speed 6000 rpm. Repasted and Fan Cleaned. I updated the BIOS/EC.

May I ask if your laptop is used on top of a desk? I'd say for a laptop it is pretty normal to get higher temps than average desktop components' temp. However I'd say 90c-93c is pretty high and you should at least be aiming at somewhere between the 60-80c. What is your room temperature? and if possible, try putting something like a bottle cap at the bottom corners of your laptop, that'll allow more airflow under your laptop.

Im using a cooling pad and a vaccum cooler on GPU side. I have aircon in my room and isnt it odd that my CPU temp is so low around 55-60c but my gpu reaches 93c on sports mode? Other laptop has almost the same temp of their gpu and cpu but mine is kinda odd. Do you think heatsink could be failing?

Not really, Nvidia stated that their laptop GPUs usually average between 40 to 90 degrees celcius with a maximum permissible temperature of 105 degrees celcius. Technically you're somewhat in the safe side. I'm assuming that this "sports mode" you're talking about is kind of like a high performance mode in your laptop? If that's the case I would say you're fine with your current temperature as long as it doesn't reach to the point where it's impossible to touch the laptop's chassis or where it shutdowns automatically due to overheating. CPU and GPU may not have similar temperatures throughout most cases, so it could be possible that your GPU is being utilized a lot more than your CPU which is why its temperature is lower than your GPU.

Ge62vr 6rf. Gtx 1060 gb 6600hq. 16gb ram. Bought dec 2016. Only the gpu runs at 90c+ but gpu is perfectly fine. I already did all the cleaning and repaste the only thing left is changing the heatsink.

try disabling your cpu turbo boost and see if it help drop the gpu temp.i did this before repasting and reseating the heatsink on my v17 nitro.if its still under warranty might want to send it back and get it check out.

It still under warranty but am not in the US anymore it will take a while to send it back. Where will isee the cpu turbo boost?

under power management u can reduce the cpu state from 100% to either 99-90%.https://www.laptopmag.com/articles/use-maximum-cpu-power-windows-10 should give u an idea where to look

Oh that. I did that one already its on 80% but still the same. Now the weird thing was after i update the BIOS my sports mode only increases my temp but drop my fps. Comfort mode is still the same 75c-77c GPU temp which is what I always use.

does this issue occurs recently or when u receive the laptop?

I update my bios today because on the other forum told me that it will help or its recommended to do since my bios was 2yrs outdated. Before the update my sports mode give me a boost of about 15-20fps more and increase my temp till 93c running at 1700-1800mhz now after i update my sports mode fps drop drastically and my temp at the range of 85-90c.
