Computer Subwoofer Amplifier for car subwoofer amplifier?

I have an old computer speaker system sitting with no use. (Boston Acoustic Ba7800) I also have 2 12 inch car subwoofers that I want to use in my home theater surround setup. Would there be a way to use my computer subwoofer amplifier and wire it to my car subwoofers?

The BA has a single 8" woofer and a total of 98 watts so maybe 50 are for the sub. The power isn't likely to be enough for 1 12" car woofer. There might be an impedance problem too since car drivers tend to be very low impedance so they can draw more power while home subwoofers tend to be 4 or 8 ohm The amp will blow up with a one or two ohm load.

That being said, try connecting the two subs in series - if they are 4-ohm subs you will get an 8-ohm load to the amp and it may work out.

alternatively sell or donate the BA to someone in need, and get a cheap amp like this if you are DIY guy or something more finished like this (which I suspect is the same board in an enclosure, looks decent enough).
