How to Add Headphones to Smart TV, Preserving Soundbar Audio

I would like to use a bluetooth headset with my Samsung Smart TV (model UN49MU7000F), without disabling the soundbar (model HW-M450). Most solutions I've read about involve splitting the HDMI and/or optical signal from the TV, but I'd like to use the TV's bluetooth system.

Any ideas?

Unless your TV lets you use bluetooth and the audio output (ARC or optical) simultaneously you won't be able to do that.

I was able to enable the "Multi-Output Audio" output accessibility feature of my Samsung smart TV, pair a set of Bluetooth headphones with the TV, and independently control the volume of each audio output device--headphones and soundbar. The headphones volume is controlled with switches on the headphones themselves while the soundbar volume is controlled with its IR remote. Yeah!
