I have an older model LG47LD450 , trying to connect sound bar Klipsch R-10B. No sound from TV but my phone and tablet works. It works on my Samsung, so it's not the sound bar. Any suggestions or is LG not compatible? Thanks.

You will see a red light at the end of the optical cable if the TV is sending out audio.
If you can't find a menu setting to turn the optical on is there one to change the audio output type? Try changing it.

You might look at the sound settings on you menu of your tv. See if there is a setting for external speakers, on/off and/or if there is a setting for digital audio out

Optical and CRA. I've tried everything. Spoke to Klipsch and LG can't resolve this situation. Turned speakers off and there's no other option for external speakers listed in the menu.
