Solved! HP laptop is very slow with videos

My HP folio 13-2000 running windows 7 cannot play online videos. I use sites such as Netflix and Dailymotion but they are both terrible quality, lagging, and slow to load. Currently netflix is so bad it won't even let me play a show. Youtube for some reason typically works without issue, it sometimes is slow but nowhere near as bad as the other two. Also I know my internet is not the issue since my sister can access Netflix and Dailymotion on the same wifi on her laptop without issue. Please help!

Is your sister's laptop the same specs and OS as your Folio? If the issue is fairly recent, you may want to see if changing the graphics settings changes anything in terms of viewing. You should ideally be on 720p when on YouTube, the same should apply for all your other streaming consumption.

You might also want to see what your system resource usages is(in Task Manager) when idling and when you're viewing/streaming content.
