cant get a signal from panasonic sc-pt870 on tv

The Panasonic doesn't have a PAL/NTSC converter built in so even though it's region free your TV may need to be PAL or mulit-system to play discs. If your TV is US standard NTSC you will need a PAL to NTSC converter.
