i have a weird problem in front of me. the laptops keyboard is busted and so i use an external keyboard. everytime i enable the NumLock key on the keyboard the touchpad on the laptop goes dead and cannot move its cursor, yet in the hardware properties it shows its reading the touch input. then i disable the numlock key and the touchpad works again. what could be the issue?

Is that broken keyboard removed from the laptop? If not, try doing that and see how the touchpad acts.
