Do I have a virus? Is my computer and network hacked? How can I find these and remove them? I recently called tech support for Quicken 2016 and was told I had been hacked. Is it just the program that has the virus or is everything infected. I'm not sure I believed him he wanted 250$ to help me "clean" my computer. I just bought this laptop on black Friday dale for 300 so I don't want to pay that much please help. Thanks

It sounds like you came across a pop-up that claims you are infected/hacked and asks you to phone some "tech support". These are all scams. Pay no attention to these warnings and DO NOT call them.

If you are actually experiencing problems, please state them. If you are worried about viruses, please download Malwarebtyes FREE and run that.

@marco: We need more info to give good advice:
1. Where did you get the support-number for "Quicken 2016 Support" from?
2. Did the "help" you, or did the just OFFER help (for that price)?
3. Did you already pay?
4. What indicates from YOUR point of view you have been hacked?
