I got a bunch of malware and adware after downloading something directly of [pirated software]. Now whenever I search something with the word “adware” or “adwcleaner” my browser closes itself. Any help is appreciated, I’m a noob when it comes to this stuff. Thanks in advance.

you can download what you need (Malwarebytes Antimalware or Hitman Pro) to a USB from an uninfected computer....(you might rename it something innocent, some types of software are prevented from running by name by malware, so, name it 'notepad' or something innocent...)

IF you can pull up your cmd prompt, run it (right click, run as admin), and, at prompt, type in: mrt

select quick scan

maybe the MS Malicious Software Removal Tool can spot/terminate something...

I'm having the same issue at the moment. Did you manage to fix it?

Furthermore, I've followed every steps given by this website. I've managed to "remove" the malware, trojan etc by using the software they recommended. However, I'm still facing the same issue of whenever I search something with the word “adware” or “adwcleaner” my browser closes itself. Adwcleaner wouldn't work unless it's in safe mode. I scanned my PC with malwarebytes and hitman pro at least 3 times already. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

you can scan 'outside ' of you os, pre-boot, with a rescue CD. Kaspersky makes one, there is even a Microsft bootable Defender CD/USB you can create from a noninfected comptuer to boot from.

If unsuccessful, eventually you will give up and format/reinstall, and, additionally, learn a lesson about the rewards of pirated software.
