Looking for headphones for gaming

Budget is around 300 Cad or around 250 Usd. Looking for a pair of open backs around the ear for gaming, along with a mic. I mostly play games but when I listen to music, I listen to bass heavy music. Coming from the Game Zeroes, I think the bass is good for me. I want accurate and comfortable headphones, but not to the point of bland and lifeless. Been looking at the GSP 500s from Sennhesier and the ATH AD900x, but I'm open to consider any other headphones.

Solution
have to recommend the Philips SHP9500S and the Vmoda BoomPro one of the best bang-per-buck DIY headsets. Throw in a SB Play!3 that will also give you some better sound (compared to on-board at least) and the SBX control will give you some decent settings for games and movies.

As far as bass response, most open back sets don't have a lot of bass by their design (closed back like Game Zero will have much better bass) so it may not fufill that need very well.
Well integrated sound card on motherboard wont provide you enough bass, i've tested with old AMP TAC (stereo amp) and it makes difference + old sound card from 2003 and that should give a nice kick in it with some random 60$ headphones.

Some will disagree but its really works flawlessy.
