Hi there, I am using hp pavilion g6 1000tu notebook which have hp 1668 model motherboard . So I want to know the max frequency supported by my motherboard so can I upgrade my ram.

You want some sort of guarantee that an upgrade will be compatible.
Go to a ram web site like Kingston or crucial.
Access their ram upgrade app.
Enter your laptop make/model and you will get a list of supported ram upgrades.
