gaming laptop low fps when unplugged

i have a hp omen laptop with gtx 1060. when its not plugged in i have good fps but not as high when it's plugged in. from the power manager of windows i have set every on best performance. is there any solution ? thanks

Not really. The GPU is "hard coded" to lower performance when the laptop is not plugged into the AC outlet. This is to conserve power and also because the a lithium ion battery can only provide so much power at once. For example, say the battery can only provide at most 90w of power, but with the CPU and GPU running at full power, the laptop needs 120w of power. If the battery cannot provide enough power, then the laptop would freeze or crash.
