So, I've got a bit of a conundrum. I've got a Kraken 7.1 V2, which is a USB headset. And thanks to some misunderstandings on Amazon's disorganized Q&A section, I was made to believe that it would be plug and play on the Xbox One. Answers in the Q&A section of Amazon encompass all models of whatever brand you're looking at (if you can choose between the different models in the size, style, and color options without leaving that specific page the answers will be for all of those different models.)

So if you look for answers for one specific model that you've got selected, unless the answer is obviously & strictly referring to whatever model you're curious about, chances are you're looking at answers for a different model of what you've got selected. It's a really stupid system that makes it highly disorganized and makes mistakes like this possible.

I was looking to see if the headset I had selected (Kraken 7.1 V2) was compatible with my Xbox One, but the answer saying 'yes', was referring to the Kraken Pro V2's. So I got burned on my purchase because of a stupid little misunderstanding like that.

My question is: does anyone know if the 7.1's onboard soundcard is compatible with Xbox's audio format? I've got adapters and audio converters to convert the analog signal to digital and vice versa, and also split the USB connection to an audio mic cable that converges (3.5mm audio mic Y cable) to single TRRS for the Xbox controller. The only thing I'm hung up on is if I do all of this, would the soundcard even be able to process the Xbox One's audio format not having been specifically made for use with Xbox? I find it annoying and a really stupid business move to lock down their audio the way that they do. We've been waiting for USB headset compatibility since the One launched, it's ridiculous.

Any help or insight is greatly appreciated. I realize I could just return my 7.1's for the Pro V2's but I'd rather give this a shot first if it's possible. If it's not possible with the 7.1's soundcard, then I will. Again, thank in advance.
