I bought a 2015 acer aspire e5 573g two years ago and for a while it worked perfectly but in the last 3 month's I have been having a charging issue. The original charger that came with it stopped working so I bought a new charger a universal charger. That charger worked for a while the it stopped working. Unnoticed by me the the universal charger had bent the chaging pin inside the DC jack and so I replaced it with one exactly like (just slightly longer). Then I realized that the voltage on the universal charger was 12 and I need a 19 so I bought new one. Which brings me to my current issuse when I plug the charger in I hear a clicking noise. At first I though that the HDD had failed but I took it apart anyway and found the source of the noise it seems to be coming from the battery slot when I take the battery out and plug the charger in the noise is gone does anyone have an idea as to what the problem might be?

Solution
Alot of things can cause that clicking sound but before anything try get original charger . or try with multimeter check voltages if fluctuates. Just buy used original charger those you can get really cheap. Less money than universal charger and safer.
