Encrypted RAR archive

Hi guys! I have RAR file. I created there a word doc. The problem is, I locked the archive with a password. After working in Word doc for some time, I closed it. To all notifications about saving, I clicked "yes". However, because the RAR was locked it wasn't updated a word file. So I have 17Kb of word file but it is encrypted. I know the password but when I'm trying to open it in Word, there's nothing. When I'm trying to view it in notepad there are some encrypted symbols. What can I do about that?

Solution
Unfortunately it appears that the file(s) may have been corrupted somewhere along the way.

Either during the compression and/or the encryption processes.

Would expect some "incorrect password" error if simply an access issue.

Do you happen to have another, older backup copy of the Word .doc?

Hopefully so as the existing files may be unrecoverable.

Otherwise, just wait. Perhaps some other forum member will add some other ideas and suggestions.
Not sure that I am following the circumstances.

You created a word .doc file, encrypted the file, and then compressed the file into a .RAR?

Did you do or attempt any extractions?

Just wondering if the file was corrupted somewhere along the way.

So I created a doc. file. Later I created encrypted RAR with the password and added there this doc. file. After all those movements I opened a doc. file from RAR, added some info, saved it in Word. WinRAR asked me about updating file in the archive. I pressed "yes". But it was an error saying that I can't modify the file in the encrypted archive.

I tried to extract from the archive, again I'm trying to open it. In Word there's nothing. In notepad are some encrypted symbols.

In this way:
