HP 15-BA023AX Laptop

Solution
I would say no.

The minimum requirement for the game lists the old GTX 550 Ti desktop graphics card. Compared to modern laptop graphic chips, the GTX 550 Ti's performance would fall somewhere in between the 940mx with DDR3 RAM and 940mx with DDR5 RAM.

Your laptop seems to have the Radeon R5 M430 graphics chip which is really weak. It's performance is between that of the 6th generation Intel HD 520 and 7th generation Intel HD 620 graphics cores. All three of them are a lot less powerful than the 940mx.

Solution
Nope.

Only specific gaming laptop models that cost around $1,400+ will have upgradeble graphics. The key word is "specific" since there are $2,500+ laptops that do not allow you to upgrade the GPU.

Your best option is to buy a new laptop if you can afford to do so. You can buy a laptop with the nVidia mx150 GPU for around $600. It is basically the successor to the 940mx. It's performance is between a GTX 950m and GTX 960m. The least powerful GPU that is considered to be a gaming GPU is the GTX 1050; a little more powerful thanthe GTX 965m. Think laptops with the GTX 1050 starts at around $675.

Would the Acer 15.6" Aspire E5 Core i5-7200U 8GB RAM 1TB HDD Windows 10 Notebook (NX.GE6SA.017-C77) be good because I had a look at beamng drive on steam thanks to hang-the-9 and it said it recommended a GTX 780?

For a gaming laptop you probably need a system with a 1050 or 1050Ti video card on the lower end. Does not look like you are in US so you need to look what is available in your area.
