I'm looking to buy a new laptop and I found 2 options in my price range : one has i7 7700hq and gtx 1060 3gb and the other has i5 7300hq and gtx 1060 6gb . I play mainly pubg i know the game is also cpu intensive so I m worried that the i5 wont be enough ..

Based on the following article PUBG does get a performance boost from Hyper Threading (HT) which means the Core i7 is better than the Core i5 for the game. The test rig uses an i9-7900X using different settings (# of core and HT on/off) and a GTX 1080Ti. The difference between 4 Cores and 4 Cores + HT is a little over 22%.

I do not know how intensive graphically intensive PUBG is so I can't save how much of a difference 3GB of VRAM makes. At worse, I suppose you need use very high settings instead of ultra settings.
