I would go with the Acer. Or if mobility is not a must, get a desktop PC.

I agree. Go with the Acer. If you are interested in a personal custom build that you can just simply upgrade the parts of over time (unlike with a laptop where that's not an option) and you can afford a slightly bigger budget here is my recommended build
