need help with a problem with a mac pro laptop

Today (2/24/18) I attempted to send 2 chapters out 8 of a book I am writing to an editing class. I copied the first 2 chapters of the book, and paste it on an email sight. Now I am missing chapters 2-4 and unable to retrieve them from anywhere.

Are these chapters all separate files? Look at the folder where you stored / edited them. It is also quite possible that instead of copy/paste, you did cut/paste, and now your files are in a different folder.

No they are not separate files. I do not find them in a separate folder. The paste icon comes up, and when I paste, the only thing it pastes is chapter 2

Then there's something wrong with the system you're using, and you should address your question to that system' support.
