Hello I have a desktop with a sound card (this one: http://images.bit-tech.net/content_images/2008/05/first-look-asus-p5q3-maximus-ii-formula/supfx1-8.jpg included with my MAXIMUS III FORMULA MB) and monitor with built in speakers. My problem is i sometime i want to listen music on my headset and sometimes on my monitor speakers but I don't want to get under the table everytime i want to switch 3,5 mm jack cables from headset to monitor and vice versa. So i would like some solution for my problem. I dont care if sound will play to the headset and to monitor speakers at the same time or just to one device.
I already tried to connect audio cable to every possible 3,5mm jack on sound card while i had my headset plugged into the green and red one. Also, I don't want any solution with audio splitter (tried this one: https://images-na.ssl-images-amazon.com/images/I/51AKOn-miVL._SY355_.jpg maybe it will work with this one: https://images-na.ssl-images-amazon.com/images/I/61sdveXSGtL._SL1500_.jpg) because its practically impossible to plug it in to my soundcard. Monitor is connected to GPU via DVI cable so i dont want ani HDMI cable solution, yet. And finally, i don't have any front audio panel on my computer case, only sound card in the rear. Stereo mix in windows audio settings did not work. Only made horrible echo in my headset.

Thank you in advance.

P.S.: I think the easiest solution is to buy that second audio splitter but i would be very happy if there will be any software solution (3rd party program or anyting else)

Thanks but this solution is more expensive and more complicated. I still can turn off headset with its volume control. I would be more happy if i could just plug monitor to the other 3,5mm jack in sound card and make it work. I have already ordered that tiny splitter so we will see.
