Google.com different (older) UI on Chrome vs Firefox

Google.com and all subdomains (images, news, etc) have a different, older-looking UI when I use Chrome. In addition, the pages take much longer to load in Chrome compared to Firefox.

Screenshots of Chrome vs Firefox

Things I tried:
- Turning off all my extensions in Chrome
- Clearing the cookies/cache in Chrome
- Reinstalling Chrome
- Trying incognito (issue persists)
- Signing in and out

System: Windows 10 Pro 64-bit

I would appreciate any help in resolving this issue! I noticed someone else had this issue, however updating Windows did not resolve the issue for my like it did for them.

Well you're not comparing apples with apples for a start, the URLs are way different in the two browsers.

If you were to type the Chrome URL in to Firefox, the loaded page would look identical in both browsers (near enough).

If you don't like Chrome just dump it & use the far superior Firefox instead. A classic no-brainer dilemma.

The URLS are only different for the image search (for the same query). Anyway it doesn't matter, I copy/pasted the same URL from Firefox to Chrome and the Chrome image page still looks the same.
