I want to buy a headset/headphone for my gaming pc, I will use them primarily for gaming on it, but also for some music listening and content consumption. My 2 options are the Logitech G533 wireless gaming headset and the audio-technica ath-m40x headphones.
Which option should i go for?

Those are VERY different headsets, the logitechs are surround headphones so they will be good for gaming in terms of letting you know he direction and distane of sounds. However every surround headset I have ever heard sounds pretty terrible for music and such, they sound anemic to me.

The M40x's are closed back, so they wont have very good sound stage which means they wont be that great for judging direction and distance of sound in games. However they are very good for things like music. They also don't have a mic obviously, something like a mod mic would be a good idea with the m40x's.

I might go for something like sennheiser HD558's, they are open back so they should be quite good for gaming. And they are also excellent for...

Personally I would never even consider a surround set like those logitech's.

Thanks for answering! I have 2 follow-up questions though.
Firstly, I should have mentioned right away, that I would rather buy a closed back pair of headphones, because I don't want sound leaking out of them for various reasons.
It would be a tremendous help for me, if you could recommend me 2 things:
The best wireles and the best wired closed-back headphones (or a gaming headset) for mainly gaming but also music/content consumption under 150 Dollars.
I don't necessarily need a mic on the headphone/headset, because I would just buy a blue snowball Ice mic and use if there is no mic on the headset. But I wouldn't dislike a mic either. it's really my #1 concern.
Thanks in advance!
