Hi there, I'm looking for a good quality Dolby 7.1 Surround Sound headset that is wired - I cannot stand wireless so I will plain and simply not use it. Can anyone recommend me a good pair that fit comfortably, I'm looking preferably not to spend more than £150 but will accept any recommendation regardless of price as if it's worthwhile, I'd be happy to look at the option.

After looking around a potential has been the Corsair Void RGB PRO's, but I'm worried about the fact that they apparently seem so loose that they can fall off from you simply standing up or moving your head. I currently am using Plantronics Gamecom 780 which is Virtual 7.1 Surround Sound, I'm looking for proper 7.1 surround sound so Dolby seems to be the way to go.

Thanks!

Hi,

Funny enough I'am on the exact same situation as you! I too have a Plantronics Gamecom 780 but they broke on both sides. I'm looking to replace them but my standard is too high because this specific model 7.1 surround sound qualitiy is remarcable. I'm on the same page as you when it comes to budget as well and I have the following list:

- Plantronics...

I am using the Corsair headset and it is slightly tight on me. I guess it comes down to your head size.

Yeah funnily enough I tried them out in my store today (I work in Curry's PC World) and they're actually not bad at all. Don't know why people are whining ,everyone must have tiny heads.

They look good but I don't like the idea of being forced to use a USB adapter to which I have nowhere to place, plus given that you can't just plug it directly into your computer it's kinda annoying. Maybe when I have more space to play with and a lot more budget. (£200 over here)

Hope it helps and hope to find one for me as well. :D

Hello Yeldur, did you choose a headset ? I also used a Gamecom 780 for 4 years and now is not working so I'm looking for a new one but I'm worried about buy a headset with the same sound quality of 7.1 cause I don't know the quality of the new ones.

Hi, sorry I didn't see this until now, no, I ended up deciding to stay with my virtual surround sounds after learning that they're all pretty close together, I decided to stick with what I knew was good.
