I just purchased a logitech g433 headset and i've been trying to get LGS to open but it hasn't been working. It took around 10 minutes to open and i have a mid-tier pc.

I've tried uninstalling and reinstalling but nothing seems to work. When the software finally does open and i try to click the settings button it just crashes.

Are you booting without LGS being started at boot?

If so, continue doing so but first open Task Manager and watch what all is going on for a few minutes. Leave the Task Manager window open but slide to one side. Then launch LGS while continuing to watch Task Manager. Observe what changes.

If LGS is being launched at boot up follow the same process but after observing for awhile, close LGS and watch for changes.

You can user Resource Monitor in much the same manner.

My thought is that there is some resource conflict or some other buggy/corrupted app interfering with LGS.

Crashes may be recorded in the Event Viewer logs. Hopefully along with some warning message or error code.

Logitech Gaming Software Running Slow

Windows 10: The latest Logitech Gaming software (Version 8.98.234 --- Filename LGS_8.98.234_x64_Logitech) was running slow as molasses. Slow to respond, slow to open, slow to make adjustments, and it was using a ton of CPU and Memory resources per Task Manager.

Solution:
Step 1: Uninstall new version of Logitech Gaming Software in Settings: Apps
Step 2: Reinstall older version, which in my case was filename: LGS_8.85.215_x64_Logitech. I found it in Downloads directory. Just sort the directory by name, all versions start with "LGS".

Runs smooth as silk now.

Tips:
1. Never delete anything from Downloads directory. You never know when you might need it again.
2. Create a fresh restore point anytime you embark on major driver updates or new software loads.

As a gamer whom have 4 Logitech Products, i have suffered alot in the past to make the LGS work ! There product quality is amazing but there software without doubt it's one of the most Shitty application i have ever dealt with.

Anyway i will write all the steps until make your LGS work based on my experience
Most Known case is due to USB 3.0 with software services with products such as (G35, G430, G633, G930, G933)

Note: You dont need to unplug your keyboard, if have any USB ports, unplug all connected devices to not make it work as hub.

Case 1:
1) End Task all Logitech Executable any of (LCore, Services, Framework)
2) Restart Computer and try again
3) If it work, customize your profile as you want, IF NOT go to case 2

Case 2:
1) Unplug your Logitech device that have USB 3.0 (Blue USB End)
2) Start LGS
3) If it work, plug your Logitech Product and enjoy until next software update and repeat the same steps, IF NOT go to case 3

Case 3:
1) Unplug your Logitech device that have USB 3.0
2) Download Latest LGS software (http://support.logitech.com/en_us/software/lgs)
3) Install Application and restart Computer
4) Start LGS ! If it work, plug your Logitech Product and enjoy until next software update and repeat the same steps, IF NOT go to case 4

Case 4:
1) Unplug your Logitech device that have USB 3.0
2) Since you have download the new LGS, it could be a profile issue so do WindowsKey + R and type:
%LOCALAPPDATA%\Logitech
3) You will find folder called "Logitech Gaming Software", rename it to something like "Logitech Gaming Software Old"
Note: If it give you error, then go to Task Manager and End Task all Logitech Executable any of (LCore, Services, Firmware)
4) Start LGS ! If it work, plug your Logitech Product and enjoy until next software update and repeat the same steps, IF NOT then maybe you have an error on windows level that prevent the application from starting

I got a case at my friends computer where his C++ 2012 was not installed and gave him a bit of issues so keep that in mind that you mind need to install C++ 2010/ 2012/ 2013/ 2015
