Since about 3 days ago my headset had only been playing through one ear. Figured it was busted, so I bought the same headset.

Low and behold, it still only plays through the left side of my NEW headphones. I've tried reinstalling the driver, unplugging it and replugging it in a million times. Have Balanced the Right/Left sides (Even when I balance the right side, that doesn't work, I hear static in the left side) and when I turn the volume from the left side all the way down, I hear static in the right side. So clearly the rightside is playing in the left ear, but I can't quite figure out how to fix it.

Solution
It may be the jack that is the problem. To be sure, try the headphones in another device. If they work fine, it is the jack. If they don't, then obviously (new pair or not) the problem is the headphones.

Now if it turns out to be the jack you have basically two ways to resolve it. 1. You can yourself, or by taking it to a tech, have the jack repaired (if possible) or replaced. 2. You can get yourself a 3.5mm to USB adapter and run it through a USB port instead.
