Laptop questionnaire
1. What is your budget?
1500-2000 (could maybe push 2500 if it were a REALLY big improvement)

2. What is the size of the notebook that you are considering?
15 inch would be nice but I’d rather take performance/value over this aspect

3. What screen resolution do you want?
At least 1080p

4. Do you need a portable or desktop replacement laptop?
I would like portability as I’ll be using it for uni work but i have an old gaming desktop (gtx770/16gb ram/amd fx8350)and itd be great if this laptop could replace that one - potentially having a thunderbolt 3 port for an external gpu could be a good idea?

5. How much battery life do you need?
At least 4 hours i would think, i know gaming laptops get pretty low down but i need this to last for uni!

6. Do you want to play games with your laptop? If so then please list the games that you want to with the settings that you want for these games. (Low,Medium or High)?
Yes, fortnite, diablo 3, overwatch, pubg, the witcher etc.
I don’t mind playing games on low-medium settings but obviously playing medium-high would be great haha

7. What other tasks do you want to do with your laptop? (Photo/Video editing, Etc.)
Photoshop/programming/rendering 3D visuals

8. How much storage (Hard Drive capacity) do you need?
Would like 500gb+ but id rather sacrifice storage and gain performance

9. If you are considering specific sites to buy from, please post their links.
I don’t mind really, cheap and reliable is all i need!

10. How long do you want to keep your laptop?
Long as possible

11. What kind of Optical drive do you need? DVD ROM/Writer,Bluray ROM/Writer,Etc ?
Doesnt even need an optical drive really...

12. Please tell us about the brands that you prefer to buy from them and the brands that you don't like and explain the reasons.
No preference really...

13. What country do you live in?
Australia

Thanks in advance for any help guys, I’ve done some reading and found the dell xps 13 with an external gpu to sound pretty good, but i’m still not sure about which route to go.
