Suggestions for a new laptop

Hi all,

I need to buy a new laptop; I had a Lenovo Z570 (with i5 2450M, 4GB of ram and dual GPU Nvidia 630M and Intel HD 3000), and I'was very happy using it for about 6 years.
Now I need to buy a new one, and I'm lost with the available choices. So if anyone can suggest me a new laptop, I'm using it especially for working (as a developer) and for some gaming.
Here is what I'm looking for:
a Lenovo or Asus, I5 (5th generation or higher),6 to 8 Gb of ram, Nvidia GPU (preferably dual GPU like the one I had), and a good cooling system, my budget is between 500 to 700 USD.

Not an Asus or Lenovo, but the following Dell Inspiron 15 5000 for $637 is currently the best bang for your buck. It has a quad core i5-7300HQ and GTX 1050 GPU. Most laptops in this price range generally has the quad core i5-8250u (lower clockspeed) and nVidia mx150 which is basically somewhere in between the GTX 950m and GTX 960m The GTX 1050 is equal to or slightly better than the GTX 965m.

Right now the least expensive laptop with a dedicated GPU, the mx150, sells for $585... the following Acer laptop which has the i5-8250u. Below this price point all laptops have integrated graphics.

Lenovo does not have any laptops with the mx150 listed on Amazon. The least expensive Asus laptop with the mx150 is the following $900ASUS VivoBook S which is basically an ultrabook weighing in at 3.7lbs and it has the quad core i7-8550u CPU.

But if you want more battery life then get the Acer Aspire E 15, it is the samae thing but better batery life and a slightly different design
