So I have a 12 inch sub with a 1500 watt amp that I was going to put in my car and things didn't work out. I want to hook the sub up to my speaker system, a Panasonic sa-ch60. I figured out how to power that amp so that's no problem, what I'm struggling with is trying to hook it up to my speaker system or hook it up so it can run out of a aux port and I then use an aux splitter to hook both my speaker system and the subs. Let me know if you have any suggestion or have any questions, I know it's a lot.

Solution

This is going to be your limiting factor, this thing has no outputs (typical for AIOs) so you only have the speaker outputs to use for both your speakers and your sub input... Not going to work out so well.

I have a very similar setup, I dug up my old BSR 15" passive sub and got a cheap $40 BOSS 1100W amp that bridged into it very nicely, it's powered by an old PC power supply. I have an old Onkyo 5.1 that has an adjustable LFE output I just connected up to it, on first power-up I tested it out with Bruno's 24k Magic - it's impressive to say the very least.

Highly recommend the same for you, so you just need to piecemeal something together that can...

Get something like this BOSS Audio B65N which will convert the Panasonic speaker out to line-level to use as input to a real amp (and don't forget the chassis ground!!)

The DENON AVR-S510BT is a decent 5.2-Ch x 70 Watts Bluetooth A/V Receiver with LFE outputs and can handle 6-ohm speakers for $130, not to shabby (about the same price as my old Onkyo back in the day)

Aside from RCA cables to connect them all up that should be good to get you going, and just be careful with the volume levels it's highly unlikely those speakers can handle anything over 20W, just get a decent pair (like these Dayton Audio B652s for $30) or just build up your 5.x system as you see fit - piecemeal or otherwise (pretty much what I did, have a cheap pair of Pioneer 5" as my mains, Optimus/RCA as my center & surrounds, the BSR as my sub - sounds "good enough" for the budget IMO)

cheers

Solution

I was thinking the same thing when I found that B65N on amazon, then realized most car amps can't handle 6-ohm loads to well if he did have a 4-channel amp with a pair bridged into the sub - then also thought he may have a dedicated sub amp too and may need an in-line LFE like this IDT adjustable filter, and also thought if that AIO can also handle having anything but the speakers attached to it - a lot of maybes lol...
