Hello, can i please get some help here, see, my laptop (Acer Predator 17 G9-792) has a high temperature while gaming, and I even cleaned the dusk a couple of times today..with a hair dryer.. xD and all the options and battery options are set to performance.

Details:
Temperature:
CPU: 30-40 (idle) and 85-97 (gaming)
System: 30-40 (idle) and 80 (gaming)

Fan speed:
CPU - 3800-4200 - RPM
System - 3900-4100 - RPM
FrostCore - 3700 - RPM

I tried to update my drivers, but it's already up to date.
I have also enabled the option for "Max fan speed"
So what could possibly be the reason for this?

Ram 16GB
Intel core i7-6700HQ 2.60GHz @ 2.60GHz
Nvidia Geforce GTX 980M

Solution
It could be bad air flow. So many laptops just don't get the air circulation they really need. You could try a cooling pad, or one of those external fan devices. But I would definitely look into using something before the temps fry the CPU, GPU or something else.

I somehow doubt that a hairdryer would have a fast enough and pinpointed enough airflow to blow out dust that may have accumulated on the heat sink fins over months of use. How long have you had the laptop? Would I be correct in assuming that you are always using the laptop on a flat, hard surface (not a rug or blanket), and still getting these high temps? Have the temps always been this high, or is this a recent development? If relatively recent, perhaps the GPU and GPU need a repasting with a high quality thermal compound.

Also, I see system and CPU temps listed, but none for the GPU.

Thanks for the answer, yes, I barely move my laptop. Its on a glass table, and I clean it every week. And I have no idea how to check the GPU temps. And also, how do I repast the CPU and GPU? I can't do it myself, and I don't know
where to get support. the Acer company is at a different city and it would take them weeks until they get it back and it's kinda expensive. And also, if a hairdryer isn't good, then what is? And i think the temps were starting to rise only recently.. like a month or two. again about the repasting thing, can I just do it in a PC repair store? and if so, how do I describe "repasting"? because I don't speak english.. It's a kind of a rookie question but thanks for the help in advance.
