i have the predator XB271HK monitor which i use to game a lot with my pc, obvouisly, but i decided to get a 4k blu ray disk player set top box type thing to go with it (me pc is plugged into the monitor via display port and the player via HDMI). it works fine with the monior with the sound coming out of the moniors speakers but when i plug in my sound bar no sound will come out of the sound bar, the sound bar does plug in via digital audio so i got a converter thing to convert the digital to analog and then i was able to plug that in via headphone jack into the monitor but it doesnt work even though a tech guy from pc world told me that would work, thing is any other headphones or speakers i plug into the monitor will work sound will come out of them plugged in via the headphone jack, any help with this someone

Yes - wrong adapter. It converts digital signal to analog. You'd need to convert analog signal to digital (opposite conversion).
Anyway - all those adapters are not necessary.

Connect this way:
  • Digital audio (toslink cable) from pc to soundbar;
    Display port connection from pc to monitor;
    (configure pc to output audio via digital audio out)
    HDMI output from BlyRay player to soundbar HDMI input;
    HDMI output from soundbar to HDMI input on monitor.
Done.

BTW - are you sure Panasonic SU-HTB60 is the correct model name?
Can' t seem to find this model on web.
