I have a Dual car stereo model DXDM280BT. that is malfunctioning. I ran my battery down by accident so naturally I did shut the radio off, unpluged my power inverter etc.. Then I got a jump from a co worker, installing the jumper cables properly and made a successful jump start. I turn my radio on and naturally everything was bact to factory settings. I go to menu to set my radio stations by setting local to on then doing auto store. Then I went to turn aux and Blutooth to on. I could not turn them on then I tried to set the clock and it wouldn't let me set it. and constantly displaying of 12:00am when I shut the car off with the radio on, then restart the car and the radio stays of and all settings resume to what they were including my balance is all to the left and fader all the way to the front. I have tried the reset button, unplugged the radio etc. I have had many cars with all types of radios that needed jumps and never had this issue.
note: i have checked all connections and all other electronics in the car work normally

You may have killed it. Many cars produced in the last 20 years state in the manual that you should not jump start the car off another. I know my dad ignored this once and it killed the alternator on his car. When he took it in the garage pointed out most modern cars should not be jumped started claiming modern alternators connected in parallel can cause damage to themselves or other sensitive components. The claim was they way modern alternators regulate their voltage is different to older generations and they should not be connected in parallel.

Now I cannot validate this reasoning but I do know my last few cars have all had warnings never to jump start off another car.
