As in, it works perfectly fine for roughly 1 week, then out of the blue, I'll walk by and it's sitting on the windows 10 boot logo. Never changes. Startup repair fails. The only way to get it working again is to restore last save point. Then it works perfectly again for a week before it's back to the same issue .... Vicious cycle, you get the idea. There is absolutely nothing being done or installed to account for this happening 4 times. Any ideas?

See, that's exactly what I suspected. Something to do with an update. But how to explain that it works for 1 week + without issues before it happens? And Ive tried running updates after restore to test as well

So....I figured I'd try some basic manual startup repair. The typical bootrec repair commands. It finishes without issue, but after reboot, after loading pre boot or bios, sits at black screen without error message or change forever. Can't get back to windows advanced repair. Loading hiren's boot cd, I can see the files are on the HDD still, Various HDD tests all say pass/no issues, but boot disk utilities can't seem to find a partition or give an error about not being able to identify fstype (I believe that's the message).. So....what the hell! lol. Never had those basic commands cause issues before. Am I completely shot? I'd normally assume it's a bad drive or try to recover the partitions, but all hell has broken loose
