Laptop keyboard not working after cleaning

Hello all. Thought I would do something helpful this morning and teach my kids how to clean the inside of a laptop. I have a Lenovo Y510p and it was pretty simple to take apart. About 10 screws on the back and the entire back panel came off. The only thing that I did was unscrew the three screws that held the fan and cleaned it off carefully with a clean dry paint brush. Dusted the rest of the computer with an air can and cleaned the keyboard area with an all purpose cleaner and a surgical towel my wife brings home from the hospital. Not entirely sure what's happening, but now the keyboard isn't lighting up and the keys don't work.
I didn't use any liquids under the back panel, just the dry brush. I didn't use anywhere near what I would consider an excessive amount of cleaner on the keyboard. Just one quick half spray and a quick wipe down. Used a toothbrush to get into all of the grooves. Could I have some how corroded something in such a short time frame? I'm positive I didn't disconnect the keyboard when I was cleaning the back panel.

I'm completely baffled.
Any help?

Well, as amazing as it sounds, I'm pretty sure a quick and easy clean has officially bricked my laptop. Can't find the operating system, but it was able to load the repair functions so I am resetting the laptop and hopefully keeping my personal files.

Did you assemble the lappy the same way you took it apart? If so then you may want to wait for the keyboard and components to dry since a short can and will exhibit the same issue(or worse a dead lappy). You might also want to recall if you were not statically charged prior to working.

You should have access to the ribbon cables that need to be connected to feed power to the keyboard and also register keypresses on the board.

Yes, exactly like it was. Only 9 or 10 screws popped off. And I took off the three screws to take the fan out. Didn't access the keyboard at all. Found this video online after words looking for a solution. Taking it apart now, but my keyboard is different than his when he pops it off with the credit card.
Edit: Got the keyboard off and it's pretty sticky under there. Guessing one of my kids spilled and cleaned it up without telling me.
Keyboard ribbons and connectors look totally fine though.
