Will DAC device give better sound out put than headphone jack?

I have an old music system (1600 PMPO) with two speaker which I have attached with my LG tv via 3.5 mm headphone to RCA cable as my TV is having only optical audio out and Music system is not having any optical audio in. The system is working fine but the voice is not very clear.

Can DAC device (Digital to analog audio converter) will give better sound than the 3.5 mm output or it will be same? If it will give better sound than I will go for it. Please advise.

I would say that a using an inexpensive DAC will probably not solve your problem and may not even be noticeably better. Save your money and upgrade the old music system or at least its speakers.
