I have a sony powered active. Subwoofer. Its been workin fine but now its not putting out any sound when its on. Could ya tell me what or how to fix it

If you have a standard AV receiver check the speaker set up menu to make sure that the subwoofer output is turned on.
Make sure that the sub is plugged into a working AC outlet. Check the cable as hand-the-9 says.
It's pretty common for the amp in powered subwoofers to fail.
