I'm trying to stream to TVs on the same channel with an HDMI cable is that possible the new flat screen will not receive the signal

Solution
To clarify you want to connect an external source (such as a cable box) to two TVs with HDMI cables?
To do that you would need an active HDMI distribution amp. A passive splitter won't work.
If the problem is that one TV is not working then that can be because it can't "handshake" with the source through the cables and the switch. That can happen.
Try a different HDMI input on the TV.
Try a different HDMI cable.
If you get it working when you connect that TV directly to the source with the same cable the switcher itself may be the problem.
HDMI depends on the source, cables, switching-distribution equipment, and TV all meet minimum standards. If one part doesn't meet that standard the other parts might or might not compensate. Can drive...
