I have an Acer Apire R7 and some of the keys only work sometimes.

I've already dusted the keys, reinstalled the keyboard drivers and looked for driver updates, dusted the inside of the computer, took the battery out and back in...nothing seems to be working...): So my keys light up when they type, but when the keys are not working they do not light up so the computer is sometimes not recognizing that these keys are being typed.

These are the keys that do not work: Control,I,O,Backspace,2,3,7,0. And they all stop responding at the same time. When one stops working, they all stop working and when one works they all work.

This happens quite often that they stop working.

Any solutions?

Thanks, Justin

When you reinstalled the drivers did you make sure to reboot between the uninstall and reinstall? If not, it wouldn't have worked correctly, so you would not see the right results.

If you did do it correctly, however, then I would suggest trying an external keyboard to see if it works fine. Turn the laptop off, connect the external keyboard and then turn the laptop on. If the external one works fine, then your attached keyboard is in need of replacing.
