Hi

I bought a Dell Laptop in June 2017 [Windows 10].

It seemed to be a bit slow during the initial few weeks, but then it is even slower now. My laptop's specs are: 8 GB RAM, a 1 TB Hard Disk Drive, 4 GB AMD Radeon Graphics Card, Intel i5 7th Gen Processor. I bought this laptop for using Architectural Software such as AutoCAD and Revit, but then it is so slow such that even Mozilla Firefox and MS Word take a lot of time to load (and sometimes, go into the 'not responding' state).

I even wanted to play Pokemon Sun and Moon in it, and installed Citra emulator in between and played it. Uninstalled the games once I came to know that they lagged a lot. Is there any solution to speed up my laptop and eliminate these errors? Thanks in advance.

well from experience. a slow laptop will always benefit from 2 RAM sticks than 1. it looks the virtual memory caching isnt working so effectively on your laptop even if your CPU and GPU are relativly good.

you can try to improve your virtual memory caching by following the steps below
https://wccftech.com/manage-windows-10-virtual-memory-and-speed-up-performance/

also go to your CCC and check if your switchable graphics is set to your high performance one. not the integrated one.

you will also notice a big improvement on your laptop if you buy another stick of RAM. not only will you get more RAM than you might ever need. but you will boost its performance from apps who will benefit from dual channel memory. please note that you will...
check the HDD with its manufacturer tool,

check with memtest.org usb autoinstaller (boot from USB after installing, could take some time)

check temperatures with intel processor diagnostics tool

which exact model is it?

run 3dmark basic edition and click on compare result online after the bench. Post the address from your upcoming browser

can you download and run this tool from the site below? the tool will run for like 2mins and post the result link here. this will at least give us a view of your hardware and its base benchmark.

Hi

I ran the User Benchmark application and these are the results:

I guess it mentions the Graphics Card belonging to Intel. I remember the Showroom attendant mentioning that it was 'There's an internal graphics card of Intel and a 4 GB AMD Radeon Graphics Card has been provided as well.

I ran dxdiag and this screenshot was taken from the 'Display' tab

And this under the 'Render' tab

I ran Intel Processor Diagnostics Tool, these are the results:
