I want to purchase wireless speakers to mirror the sound from my desktop pc. It would be great if the speakers could also play sound from other devices such as my phone. I presume this means I need bluetooth speakers (probably class 1 due to the distance). I am quite computer savvy but almost totally audio ignorant. Right now, I don't even know what questions to ask.

I need help on how to find speakers that will do what I need them to. When I know that I can consider price, ratings, etc? (Suggestions are always welcome).

Thanks so much for any help.

If you want stereo you will likely need a stereo pair rather than just two speakers. These will have a single powered speaker and a wire to the second passive speaker.
Most single bluetooth speakers can't be configured for stereo but the JBL ones that work with their Connect+ app should do that. There may be others.
It might be easier if you wire the speakers to the PC and use BT for the phone. Otherwise you would have to get the speakers to pair up with your source every time you want to switch from PC to phone.

Ok, thank you. That makes sense. Since having to pair each tome is not acceptable, I'll be happy just having them mirror my PC's sound.

We are an elderly couple so audiophile quality would not be needed because our ears' can no longer hear a normal pitch range. We also do not need wall shaking volume. Stereo would be nice is probably not worth the price of two speakers. If mono, it would be good if we could feed the sound from both channels to the remote speaker.

Any suggestions in the up to $100 range?

Many thanks.
